ASFTU Mission ll – lll
A search for the universe Mission ll is a further development of mission l. Where mission l was finding what is in the universe. Mission ll goes deeper into the explosions that happen in the universe. If it is the start of a new galaxy or maybe the explosion to the universe itself.
With a new technique that I found using powder glass I am defining the explosions. The powder is layered between different layers of glass and printing between the glass is also used.
These objects are also wired with a light inside to magnify the explosion even more.
These objects are all unique and can also be made on request.

Into the void.
This new work is about the universe and more specific; the unreachable parts of the universe. Like the black holes, the gravity that pulls everything inside. The mysterious looking parts of planets and the explosions that find place. To name some interesting things that are part of the research for these artworks.
Into the void is made with a new technique. It was made in the new kiln that has been purchased in the summer of 2021.
It was made with four layers of glass and different techniques like printing and using different glass materials like glass powders next to the sheets of glass.
This printing is a new way of forming the ideas into the glass. The dimensions that have been researched in earlier work have a small part in the new work series.

ASFTU Mission l.
Here is shown one out of the series: “A search for the universe, mission l”. ASFTU is about finding different structures and happenings in the universe which are translated into these glass objects. They are with a light and a wooden frame.
The one shown here is a yellow crater and shows an explosion.
The first mission (mission l) is about the search for different events. What happens in the universe? What has happened and what do these things look like?
There are 15 small objects of mission l. This is the investigative phase for the next mission.

Dimensional layers in space.
The multiple dimensions are going on. Now they are all in one fused together.
The idea of other worlds existing at the same time makes you wonder if you can walk through every dimension.

Water goes down.
While searching for multiple dimensions Velowa tries to visualize the 6th dimension. Using blocks and two dimensional glass works the different works hang in front of each other. Showing three dimensional worlds at once.

The unused space.
While coronavirus was spreading over the world. With ROEM we collaborated with museum de Lakenhal. They asked us to show how we experienced these times.
My reaction is all about the unused space. I work on the fourth flour. When I work I am surrounded with lots of space because from the windows in my workspace I can see all above the houses and trees.
This got me inspired and wanted to visualize this space. The space that was also coming more in the city, above the water and in the malls.

Dimensions.
A group of different works all about the multiple dimensions. From the search; what are the dimensions 4th and more and how do they work. While searching for answers, works have been made to explain and show the paths and answers of dimensions.

Sky is up.
The sixth dimension is an interesting one. While working on two dimensional space, three dimensions are formed by the glass. Walking around makes it four and multiple fourth dimensional groups makes it five. But what if we can travel from one to another ‘group’? It will be traveling using the sixth dimension.

Location.
From searching in dimensions.
Transparent glass, but different structures.
The work tells you about different locations in different dimensions.
While these can be present at the same time.

Transformer.
This work was created for the exposition “Fair Enough”. Starting from the point ‘the fair’, I took a critical look at the way the fair looks. Very much light, all the attractions and food stands are everywhere. Visually all lines are everywhere. That’s why this work is only transparant. The glass has already very much dimension from itself because of the structures. The viewer can decide what the composition of the work looks like by by walking around. Taking another spot around the work every time will make another artwork every time.

We are one.
From searching in dimensions, Transparent glass, but different structures. It’s about different locations in different dimensions, but while we live in different dimensions, we can feel as one.

Dimensions.
A group of different works all about the multiple dimensions. From the search about space and dimensions different works have been made. One year of research made this happen, but this was not enough and the research is still going on.
